So the weekend comes to an end - Holly goes back to work in the morning and as for me I have tomorrow off; unlike her, my weekly work schedule is pretty inconsistant and I never have an entire weekend off.
We did a little shopping earlier this evening; I just figured it would be something to do, just to get us out of the house after spending the majority of the weekend snowed inside our apartment. Even if I have no interest in buying anything I'm perfectly content just browsing the aisles.
I didn't have any intentions on buying anything but I didn't end up going home empty handed.
We've been picking up the Peanuts specials on DVD to coincide with the ringing in of the holidays - with Easter just around the corner it was that time to purchase the 1974 Peanuts classic, "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown". I can't recall if I've ever seen this television special in it's entirety before but since it's been aired annually on network television since I've been born (and another 11 years previous to that), I just might have.
I haven't bought a recently released toy at retail price in as long as I can remember but when I saw these little guys the money in my pocket started to burn a hole. This two pack PVC was released in 2011 by Hasbro Playskool - there's an entire series of these figures available as well as a portable playset. I like the look of these figures and might just pick them up if I ever see them around again. As for the two pack, Count Von Count is my favorite Muppet and was what initially drew me into buying it. I never really liked Elmo until I saw the documentary, "Being Elmo" - now I have a whole new appreciation and understanding for the Muppet. I recommend anyone who is a fan of Jim Henson's work check it out.
Haha I love it when Holly talks in her sleep. For instance, she just woke up in her sleep and started tapping at me; obviously still asleep - she told me that I had, "missed it" - I asked her what I had missed and she just told me to put my headphones back in and mumbled something about the 'bigger headphones'... I told her that she was still asleep but she denied it and then turned over. So cute in her sleepy state.
